Description: Our client, who has been recognized consistently as one of the nation’s top recruitment firms nationally and has built a reputation for quality specialized service, is looking for a successful business development manager to join its IT division in Manhattan.  You will be responsible for selling contract staffing, direct hire placement, VMS/RPO programs, and/or technology based projects.

Qualifications: You must have a minimum of 3 years successfully finding, qualifying, and developing new accounts for either a technology staffing agency or a technology consulting firm.  You must have a well-defined approach for hunting and closing new business, and you must be in the top 20 percent of your sales organization.  You will need to be disciplined and self-motivated with good telephone and face-to-face presentation skills and a demonstrated ‘ownership’ in your work.  This position is very lucrative for people who have been consistent producers in their sales careers.

You should be a polished, disciplined professional with a strong focus and sense of urgency in obtaining new business.  You need to possess excellent cold calling, prospecting, and negotiating skills. It will be critical to have superb verbal and written skills that will be utilized during client presentations and the negotiation stage of the sales cycle.  You must establish and strengthen relationships with client C-level face-offs, business and technical buyers, and key project stakeholders.

Responsibilities: You will be given a few clients with existing contracts in place, but the hiring company is seeking a hunter-type account manager who can build their own book of business within the technology staffing vertical. You will have the ability to sell contract, search, or RPO/VMS business.
